Leno, Conan and NBC - WTF?!

NBC don't want to spend money on scripted dramas five nights a week, so they got Jay Leno (who just left The Tonight Show after 17 years) in for his own 10 p.m. talk show before The Tonight Show.

Now that NBC finds that idea a bust, they have no idea where to put Leno and want to put him back at 11.30 p.m., which is Conan's current slot.

Dude, if you want to retire, then do it properly, not do a Michael Jordan. Sheesh.

Last heard that Jay will do a half hour talk show before The Tonight Show and Conan might get the slot between The Tonight Show and the Late Night show. Major WTF.

If nothing else, check out the collection of videos of other talk show hosts weighing in on the situation here.

Personally I have no preference between the two, but now I want to know: which one is CNBC is gonna show on the weekends?

[Update: Conan's taking the huge payout by the network - I wonder what'll happen to the people that work on the show? It's got to suck for them. He should pay the staff out of that $30-40 million payday...]
